Can a contractor get working capital while waiting on a draw?

Yes — Avanti Equipment Finance provides working capital of $10K to $250K to general contractors, subcontractors and trades, underwritten on three months of business bank statements rather than tax returns. Draws and retainage count as deposits, there is no down payment and no lien on trucks or equipment, and it can cover materials, payroll or the wait for a progress payment. Terms come back the same day the statements arrive, with funds in as little as 24 hours after signing.

Why finance with Avanti

Construction cash flow runs backwards: the biggest costs land at the start of a job and the money arrives at the end. Working capital covers the stretch in between — materials, payroll, mobilization, the bond or permit that has to clear before you can break ground — without pledging the truck or the excavator. Three months of business bank statements is the whole application; draws and retainage deposits count like any other revenue. No tax returns, no down payment, and the amount is sized from what moves through your account. Terms usually come back the same business day, the money is wired once you sign, and if what you actually need is the machine itself, that's a separate program with its own page.

Frequently asked questions

What can a contractor use working capital for?

Materials, payroll, mobilization on a new job, equipment repairs, insurance and bonding costs, or covering the gap while you wait on a draw or retainage.

Do progress payments and retainage count as deposits?

Yes. Any money landing in the business bank account counts — draws, retainage, final payments, and deposits from smaller jobs.

Will this put a lien on my equipment or trucks?

No. It is secured by your business cash flow, not your equipment or property. If you're buying equipment, see the equipment financing pages — that is a different program.

Can I use it for the down payment on a machine?

Yes, that is a common use. We can run the two together so the timing lines up.

My work is seasonal. Can I still qualify?

Yes. The review looks at three months of deposits, so applying when the account reflects your working season gives the clearest picture.

How fast can I get funded?

Terms usually come back the same business day your bank statements arrive; funds land in as little as 24 hours after you sign. Attach the statements to the application and the review starts the moment you submit.
